American history 10% Project
The 10% project is a Genius Hour style project. You will research a topic related to American History. It should be something you have always been interested, have a passion for learning more about, etc. Examples include: fashion through the 20th century, famous FBI cases, 18th century photography, the changing styles of swimwear, natural disasters, or even a specific event like Watergate.
Then come up with one or more guiding questions to guide your research. This should be a broad overarching question that is not easy to answer in one day of research. Ex: What were early photographic methods used in the 1800s and how did they impact society? How did photographers utilize the resources available to them?
Beginning in November, we will start working on your showcase projects. This is NOT a research paper and in fact I will not accept a research paper. I also won't accept a basic Google Slides presentation. This is a creative student chosen format that highlights your specific topic. It could be a documentary you create, a blog, a website, a Prezi, an interactive presentation that includes video clips and more, a comic book, a children's book, an animated video, etc. More information will be presented in class.
